Keynote Speaker;
M. Patrick Feeney, PhD

collage Patrick Feeney, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Chief of Audiology in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Washington. He is the Director of Audiology at the University of Washington Medical Center Otolaryngology Clinic, where he also sees patients, conducts research, and serves as a preceptor for AuD students. Dr. Feeney also heads the Human Auditory Perception lab at the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center where he conducts research in diagnostic audiology with a focus on the peripheral auditory system. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington, where he teaches and mentors AuD and PhD students in their research endeavors.

He works with an excellent team of audiologists at the University of Washington Medical Center. The team provides diagnostic and treatment services to a diverse group of patients in a tertiary referral setting, manages a well-baby and NICU hearing screening program, teaches Otolaryngology residents and AuD students, and engages in ongoing clinical trials with the Otology service.

Dr. Feeney started his career in audiology as a clinician in several private practice and hospital settings before returning to school for the PhD to pursue his interest in research. He has been on the faculties of Ohio University and the Ohio State University, in addition to the University of Washington. His recent research has focused on the use of wideband power analysis to study middle-ear function.
