Why join the Colorado Academy of Audiology?
  • Take Advantage of Exceptional Continuing Education Opportunities. Throughout the year, CAA presents workshops, seminars, and other educational events. The annual convention offers a variety of topics and guest speakers, meeting the large range of audiologic interests.

The online membership directory provides members with other member’s current contact information, as well as detailed information about what services are offered at which locations—a very useful resource for referrals.

Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st of each calendar year:
  • Fellow Membership—$85* annually

    Membership as a Fellow shall be open to all audiologists who are Fellows in good standing of the American Academy of Audiology.  Membership in the Colorado Academy of Audiology shall be open to all audiologists who hold certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or the American Board of Audiology, possess a minimum of at least a master’s degree in audiology from an accredited institution and state licensure or registration to practice audiology.  Fellow members are entitled to participate in all activities of the Academy and hold full voting privileges.

    Applicants who are 2006 or earlier graduates may apply with at least a masters degree. Applicants who are 2007 or later graduates entering the field of audiology must hold a doctoral degree with a major in audiology from a regionally accredited institute of higher learning. 

  • Associate Membership—$85* annually

    Associate Members must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in audiology, and not meet qualifications for membership as a Fellow in the Colorado Academy of Audiology.  Associate Members are entitled to all benefits of membership as a Fellow, except voting privileges, unless special exception is made by the Executive Committee.  Associate Members are not eligible to hold Academy offices, although they may be appointed to serve on committees.  In general, Associate Membership is intended as, but not limited to, a mechanism for students who have completed academic training, but have not met qualifications for membership as a Fellow.  Associate Membership may not be held by an individual for more than two (2) years without review and approval of the Vice-President of Membership of the Executive Committee.

  • Full-time Student Membership—$35* annually

    Student Members shall be full-time doctoral students, majoring in audiology, as verified by a full-time audiology faculty member of a university training program.  The Student Membership application form shall be co-signed by the approving faculty member. Student Members shall participate in all activities of the Academy, but may not hold office and are not permitted to vote on issues unless special exception is made by the Executive Committee.

  • Part-time Student Membership—$75* annually
*Renew by February 1 to take advantage of $10.00 Early-Bird Discount.
